It wasn't a very happy ending because of ST2132.
It's the most depressing paper ever.
The paper is upon 80 and I doubt I can even hit the passing mark.
I really pray that miracle can happen to me this semester.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Watched 2012 with Poh Wun after the exams.
I must say it's the best movie I ever watched in 2009!
It was an exciting movie and I practically get excited and emotional throughout the movie.
Hahaha.. Definitely worth the money for a two and half hour movie! (:
I will probably get some life until 21 December...
Do let me know if you happen to know any part time jobs..ㅋㅋ
MA2108 paper was a killer!
Feel so depressed when doing the paper at 9am this morning..
It's like so much proving (which i obviously can't do and don't even bother to attempt)
and also the weightage for absolute convergence/convergence/divergence & uniformly continuity/non-uniformly continuity
is SUPER LITTLE plus TIME-CONSUMING as i spent most of time trying out different tests to prove the above.
Oh man!
I have no confidence with all the questions that i tried.
I'm praying hard for the normal distribution curve to save me...
Just give me a pass...
2 more core modules and 1 geog module which i consider as a trashy module...
But I guess I have to work hard for geog test since I don't expect my cores to be doing well..
FOS is indeed Faculty of Sadness...
On a lighter note, I finally got my long-awaited phone - Nokia 72...
Slept at 5am because my brother made me watch Supernatural Season 5 with him. (By the way, he's supposed to be studying for his O Level)
Woke up around 1pm... and continued sleeping from around 3.30 to 6.30pm. Terrible! I keep sleeping and sleeping... feel like pushing the blame to the weather, which is very conducive for sleeping.ㅋㅋㅋ
Yay, i finished two MA2108 webcasts but still left with 2 EC2102 webcasts... zzz
Anyways, I want to buy 앤디 new album - Single Man. It's damn nice cos I just downloaded.. feel so guilty but I really want to listen @.@
Hi world!
It's really unbelievable that i'm blogging now out of the blue.. I have no idea why I suddenly want to blog.. Maybe it's because I'm always feeling bored at home on a Saturday! Nobody asks me out and when I ask my girlfriends out, they're busy with their schoolwork (This makes me sound as if I'm really damn free. Nope!! I've attended MA2108 webcast and still left with EC2102 webcast to do! I just choose to ignore my tutorial and probably cramp all the tutorials on a Sunday night.) Sigh~ I yearn to go out badly, abandoning the responsibility of a student. I can't wait to graduate and start working. That's how bad studies is in university. I've gotten back my mid terms results.. I'm thankful that I've passed all my modules but still, I could have done better if I put in more effort and make less careless mistakes... Can't wait for December holiday and shop/window-shop for Christmas till I drop. Please have Christmas' gatherings so that I'll be entertained. Kekeke..
Alright, let me share some of the photos I've taken...
i was really happy for the past two days!
first, i checked out the moe career site and found out that majoring in statistics can become a secondary sch teacher too! For the past 2 sems, I've been checking it out but it said that one can only teach primary... AND NOW, SECONDARY SCH TOO!! OMO!! I was really happy to hear that cos that means I can change my major from applied maths to stats... but at the same time, it means that i have to classify MA1100 which i took in sem 1 as UE.. arghhhh! CRAZY! Who will want to take a maths / science module as UE?! Hais... should i change my major cos it seems to be easier ( i really dunnoe? cos all i noe is i cant score at all by taking MA modules... simply based on the grade of my Probability module which i took as MA instead of ST... ARGHHHH) i will think of it carefully this weekend.....
secondly, i was shocked and happy when my dad told me i got 2.9k from scholarship given by his company. I got it last year based on A levels result together with a rather scary interview. And to get 2.9k for my subsequent academic year, i have to do well...but according to my dad, as long as i pass it should be alright.. haha.. thank God for that! it's a pleasant gift as this would mean my dad spent 5.8k lesser for my tuition fees so far! it's about 45% per academic year! thank God! i hope i can do better next sem!!! i need to mug seriously!!! AJA AJA FIGHTING, JOAN!
oh no, i'm leaving the workforce soon! so sad ): i dunnoe why i love working so much.. maybe bcos i have sth to look forward towards every day! i can slack or shop all i want and getting a decent pay at the end of the mth! on the other hand, i feel rather confined after schooling, though i dun mug like a crazy girl who has no life ): sigh~ i'm proud to say i love working!
i'm back to blogging.... keke
just wana share with those reading this boring blog of mine, i used up $330 of my June pay!! $250 of it was given to my parents and grandma (: actually i bought an espirit bag for her and gave her remaining "allowance". as for the remaining $80, i spent it on an IDENTICAL espirit bag and an espirit jacket... keke... AND for this, the nett price costs more than $150 and managed to get 20% discount and a membership card!!! on top of this, i get an additional 10% discount for the membership card...waaaa!! great deal yea??? i ended up spending about $165 for 2 "$100" bags and "$30" jacket!!! yay!!! i just wana share my HAPPINESS and cheapskateness (abit heart pain despite having such a good deal!)
goodnight...
P.S. I really LOVE working to the max!
my blog is decaying haha...
i don't know where should i begin with. well, i got my pay for june! YAY!!! After cpf deduction, it's rather pathetic - slightly more than S$900 but i'm glad! love working there! my colleagues are pretty nice and friendly, especially my supervisor! (: (: having all my takeaway lunches in the pantry while i see my colleagues eating their home-cooked food! it's shocking for me to see that as i don't see a single colleague in AXA doing that! (maybe we don't have a proper pantry).. AND this pantry has a coffee mixer! omg! the coffee is fantastic.. i heard from them today that it was originally meant for the management level until someone complained keke! :D
seriously i love the job! it's tiring and a little stressful but it's worth it! i'm happy working there :D it may be lotsa typing inform letters, creating job tickets, compiling documents, doing lift certificates, creating invoices and typing cover letters.. basically i wrote the whole process here! so poh wun, stop saying that i don't work as hard as you and i'm really hardworking k!!!! ^^
okay, i'm having neckache again.. gotta rest now and wake up early tml for work! (:
loves,
joan (:
p.s. i love ichiban sushi! (:
(deviating from topic again...) how i wish it's my last sem's last paper in NUS..
u can see how desperate i am to graduate.. i really want to graduate! i don't want to take any more exams.. they're absolutely demoralising!
i'll be having Intro to Jap Studies paper tomorrow.
50 mcqs in 2 hours. sounds fantastic?
i reckon.
cos i'm plainly reading through the coursepack and tutorials. let me emphasize, i didn't memorise a single thing!
stupid swine flu! i have to go for examination 1 hour before the exam to take temperature taking. well, mildred and i decided to go half hour earlier instead? to avoid the crowd?
anyways, i shouldnt be blogging now.. should be reading my coursepack.. *Bleh*
ooh, i'm addicted in playing some of the facebook's games - restaurant city, bejeweled blitz and hell kitchen game... maybe y'all can give it a try?
12 MORE HOURS TO MY PAPER TO START, 14 MORE HOURS TO FREEDOM, 24 MORE DAYS TO THE RELEASE OF RESULT...
let me say bye to YEAR 1 IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!!!
AND PLS LET ME PASS PROBABILITY, I DUN WANT TO RETAKE THE STUPID MODULE!!! I dun aim for anything better than B-. Just let me pass!!!
i used to look forward to weekends..
now, especially in this sem and at this point of time, weekends no longer become my getaway.
3 projects in this sem.
1 project was done - hooray though i don't particularly enjoy doing.
2 more to go..
sigh! SIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHH
It was a week of hell.
Same goes for this week.
Same goes for this week.
It's 1:52AM now... shockingly, I'm still awake... and multi-tasking - blogging and watching Supernatural Season 4..
I don't is it because Ethel's leaving at 1:10AM or whatsoever, I kept hearing the sound of aeroplanes flying.. lotsa planes... one after another... from 1:15AM till now... I miss taking planes ):
Anyways, I spent 14 hours outside today... about totally of 4hours of travelling around, 3 hours of school, 3 hours of spending my time in the school lab doing tutorial and surfing the net, and the remaining 4 hours in Vivo, Taka and Changi Airport.. I'm tired but yea, still manage to blog purely out of boredom to keep myself occupied while watching Supernatural.. haha...
Oh, I bought a Pierre Cardin wallet.. YAY! Finally I bought a new wallet after months of window-shopping and the desire of buying one is satisfied! Expensive but thanks to the $50 voucher because of the new Nokia phone ($68) from Mio Plan, it seemed to be cheaper... but yea, the voucher still worth $50 in either ways and I had to spend additional $50 on it after 20% discount.. so do your maths for the exact price! (: No more new wallet for me for another 2 years.. sadded ):
Alright I need to watch the show with 100% attention because Sam & Dean are going to solve the case.. tata and goodnight world!
p.s. it's 2:09AM and i still hear the planes flying...
True friends are not really true...
I'm disappointed...
I'm disappointed...
Evidence 1: I struggled to wake up in the morning at 7.30a.m and I messaged Mildred if she wanna skip Linear Algebra 1 lecture with me since it has webcasts and there's no practice sessions.. and after brushing my teeth and washing my face, I made a cup of black coffee and took a small sip. Mildred replied saying that we shall skip the lecture and meet for lunch before our tutorial.. I just went back to sleep leaving the coffee on my table.
Evidence 2: I felt restless on the train and during my first Probability tutorial. There's this Albino guy from Maths, a little unfriendly and ungentleman I would say. I raised my hand indicating that I want to do the tutorial question on the board, trying to get some class participation. He, who was sitting in front of me, also raised his hand but the tutor actually pointed to me asking me to do... and he just stood up and walked to the board to write his solutions... it makes me very lao diao (According to Poh Wun, lao diao =amazed in the most unfashionable way utterly speechless)
Evidence 3: I felt like closing my eyes and sleep during Computing & Society lecture.. Mildred and I played this City Blozz game during the lecture.. we were obviously bored & tired.
Evidence 4: My legs feel really tired whenever I get to lie on my bed and rest while using the computer... another sign of tiredness.. perhaps because of climbing too many stairs in Arts to get to tutorial class & in Business to get to Computing lecture. NUS is really hilly...
Have you guys ever wondered what's RREF in our Graphic Calculator stands for while we're using it solve matrices... it actually means Reduced Row-Echelon Form. I learnt that from Linear Algebra 1 since the first two topics are about matrices... to find out more please check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rref#Reduce d_row_echelon_form . I'm extremely lazy to explain it... haha X)
Alright, there goes the tired Joan... I hope I can stay awake till 12midnight since I wanna catch this korean drama on scv... it's called My Husband's Woman. Just like the title says, it's about adultery... I have no idea why I like to watch even though I REALLY ABHOR THE GUY WHO HAS AN AFFAIR WITH THE WIFE'S FRIEND! Maybe I will know what to do when I get married if this were to happen to me.. AND i hope NOT!
FYI: S.D. refers to Slacking Day
I had a four hour break in between Linear Algebra 1 and Computing and Society. Is this considered a blessing?
Anyways, Mildred and I spent one hour in maths computer lab playing Pet Society and reading online news.. After which we headed to Engineering school's canteen - Techno Edge - for our lunch. Techno Edge sounds disgusting to me.. Is it really techno??
Back to topic, we had Indonesian's grilled chicken set for lunch. It's really delicious! Y'all should try it out. It costs $3, one of the slightly more expensive food in NUS but it's certainly cheaper compared to foodcourts outside. We also wanted to try mango fruit juice but it's probably too popular that it's all sold out.
Here comes the main objective of today's post, we had our blood test for our blood groups after lunch at UHWC in YIH. Haha.. I thought that it's going to be painful since I remembered vividly that the injection in Primary 6 was a painful experience. I was kinda worried and the nurse told me to relax. The nurse who was attending to Mildred laughed at me, according to Mildred.. arghhh... what kinda nurse is this man?? Anyways, it's slightly painful when the needle pricked through the skin and you don't really feel anything. I didn't look at how the blood was drawn out since the nurse's afraid that I'll get more nervous upon seeing it.. Hahaha.. We'll get our results next week, after CNY. Yay.. so excited!!!! (You must be thinking that why are we so crazy to take our blood test.. that's because we simply got nothing to do! Last week, Mildred had a FREE dressing from there and I suggested that why don't we take our blood test next week (which is today) to kill time. And it's cheaper than outside.. it costs $7.70 with GST)
We had about an hour left before the computing lecture starts. We took bus 96 to Clementi to search for the bookstore that sells textbooks as Huilin said it's cheaper there. Our finding is that some books are cheaper and some are not. So perhaps you may want to drop by there to compare book prices. Hahaha... we walked around the whole of Clementi Town, from looking at CNY goodies in NTUC to walking around the shophouses aimlessly. It's rather tiring as we walked quite a distance under the sun.
WALAO, i didn't know I wrote this much... i'm going to shut my eyes soon... goodnites world!(:
Hahaha... we walked around the whole of Clementi Town, from looking at CNY goodies in NTUC to walking around the shophouses aimlessly. It's rather tiring as we walked quite a distance under the sun.
WALAO, i didn't know I wrote this much... i'm going to shut my eyes soon... goodnites world!(:
